Hello friends, old and new!

Message par Tarbaby » mer. 01 avril 2009, 23:03

I finally made it! I let my membership lapse here a few years ago and have been having trouble re-registering. Today it worked! :D

I see that there are a lot of my friends here from the English speaking Forum. I may need to come to you for help here, because my French is non-existent. I'm fluent in German (having lived in Munich for 5 years) and can understand about 80% of written Spanish, but French has always baffled me.

Since I've become a Moderator on the English speaking Forum, I'm trying to understand how the other Forums work so I can help other members who have questions.

Also, I'm interested in the MP3s, Videos and original compositions of the members here. (I found a beautiful original piece on the Spanish speaking Forum! :D )

See y'all here, or on the other side...

So there are forum members original pieces here? What user group do you have to belong to to listen to those?

Haha! Funny, gjm!

The 002 Group, to which you're already registered. :D

Also, take a look at Geoff's post in this thread:

Have fun!

Hahaha!

Nice to hear from you here, Val! :D

As you can see, I've already done a little bit of "moderating" here (in the sense that I helped gjm get more out of the forum) even while I'm still waiting for acceptance to the 002 Group.

This forum seems to be more active than the Spanish speaking one. I haven't explored the Italian speaking forum yet, but I can assume this one and the English speaking forums are the most active.

It appears that the equivalent of our "Guitar Classes" forum here is more expanded. There's a Flaminco sub forum and more. Interesting to imagine that JFD may have plans to expand that forum globally?

I'm not sure all the options we have here will be generalized (???I don't know if this word is correct...) but some are very special here like the guiterne group for renaissance guitar lovers... (the last created)
About guitar classes, here there was a real online class (is it still working ????)
I think Italian group is also active, but I haven't been there for a while.

I'm sure the French speaking forum is closest to JFD's heart and he probably spends most of his energy here.

While you're here, do you think you could help gjm out with his question here?

I don't have a clue, but that's why I'm here. To learn how the other forums work.

I do post on both side... as I can't post everything on one forum to avoid overwhelmed people (is it the right word ?)
And even I don't post all the videos I've done... look at Vimeo (best quality) or Youtube for the all bunch... I'm just having fun doing this...

We have fun watching, dear friend! :D

I finally got a decent camera, but haven't had a chance to really try it out much yet. If I can find out a way to make it fun, like you do, I'll be happy.

Hi George,

Yes, guitar is amazing, as you have stated. And welcome around. But please do not forget our rule that posts must be substantial!

Pas trop bien. Je suis mieux en espagnol et en italien. Toutefois, je joue de la guitare dans chacune des langues.
